Are you honestly arguing that your side hasn't been begging the question, too? Science involves changing opinions over time. Some people have knee jerk skeptic reactions to things that others embrace whole heartedly. Nobody is holier than thou, here. The truth is that we need both kinds of scientists. YOu just seem pissed that people disagree with you and your favored authority figures.

Both sides have been begging the question in this debate. Your side has done the same damn thing.

The United Nations seems to be okay with children being raped in return for food, so I don't mind arguing against them.

I think the most naive thing about the global warming issue is that -- even if it is man made -- people *actually* think we can somehow fix it by throwing money at it and spreading "awareness".

I remember reading an article where the author was bragging that she was helping the planet by turning off the lights in her home to burn candles (which actually emit higher total carbon emissions than modern light bulbs). I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Wikipedia article for Scientific_opinion_on_climate_ change:

"With the release of the revised statement by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 2007, no remaining scientific body of national or international standing is known to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change."

NO REMAINING SCIENTIFIC BODY. ZERO. ZILCH. NADA. CERO. Got it???

If the federal government did only what it properly should -- provide a military and a court system -- it would be much easier to trust scientific research on this topic.
