@mljr1015 It should be located on the board with the fuses, which on most vehicles located under the dash on the drivers side. If you have the owners manual for your vehicle, it should show you the location of the switch.

I had to replace my Headlight switch. This video is AMAZING and saved me almost $300.00. I did it my self. Had all the tools. Safely removed the airbag...and from start to finish only took me about 10 minutes. Again. If you follow this video step by step you will have NO problems getting this job done. I am 100% satisfied with this video... Will be looking to you for more repair help in the future.

@realfast01 It's an added safty precaution, in case the positive cable slips and hits the positive terminal on the battery while your working on it. It's also a good added step just incase there's any stored power going to it. There's a lot of force in those air bags.
I have a 2000 Sunfire with no rear brake light or turn signal. I have been told this is caused by a faulty hazard signal switch which is also part of the turn signal switch. What do you think?

@bigdon26587 If all of the brake lights are out, it could be the brake light switch or a broken wire coming off of the switch. If it's just the third brake light that's out it may be a bulb. If you put the turn signal on I would test the sockets and wiring to see if there's power going to them, and if the bulbs are bad. Hope this helps you out.

Does anyone know, roughly, how long this repair takes to complete? Thanks!

@MomOfThreeCats It would probably take about 45 minutes or so to complete. Hope this helps you out.

I need help!! Is this the same procedure and steps you would take to replace the turn signal switch on a 2000 impala...also smoke came out from the steering colum when my switch had a short.

@ReySeanTv The turn signal switch is different on your Impala. The basics may be the same on your vehicle, but some of the removal procedure could be different.
