This is a 2,000 round test on an M4. No cleaning, not even a wipe down. It has run without a single malfunction, with over 12 different kinds of ammunition run through it. The key is lubrication. This bolt is coated with EXO coating. It has lubricity build into it.
I am not saying dont clean your weapon. I am saying lubrication is the key to your AR platform running reliably. You simply cannot over lubricate this weapon system. Not enough lube will certainly cause a malfunction.
The lower is my JP Rifles "Gladiator" SBR. The upper is built by me.

  • I think you can overdo lubricants. In sandy conditions, some lubricants might attract sand.

  • @esh325 You cannot overdo lubrication. As you will see in my next videos, lubrication flushes out the dirt and keeps it running. It is impossible to use too much lube for reliability. AR's Will run dirty and wet, but not dirty and dry, nor clean and dry.

I have some very interesting videos I am shooting right now to demonstrate just that.

    Thanks for posting your thoughts.

  • Very impressive.. Would be interesting to run it with a bolt NOT coated in EXO, and see where the failure range is in that case..

  • @noBuzzkillin I have been videoing that exact thing..When I'm done shortly, I will post it up. the results are amazing. Lubrication is the key.
