My husband is being threatened to be fired for not taking the flu shot. Well they are going to find another reason than not taking this shot. We think we have rights.

Later I was terminated for "other reasons" but basically all started like that, and tghis last year got really sick after taking the H1N1 for 2 months I was weak and with dizziness, nausea tiredness etc 2 months wasn't able to work how do you like that? Now I feel better but the whole idea to be forced to take vaccines is just wrong, on the other hand we have to be protected against it i saw many patients die in the ICU due to that H1N1 epidemic of 2009. Anyway is 2011 guess things will improve

@johnnylate715 YEAH ! Im an RN also and was fired because I didn't want to care for H1N1 patients during dialysis. That what I used to do, but the thing was it was new and manager insisted that i wouldn't get sick just for being working with the infected patients for five hours! I was like Ha! yeah right and they didn't have protective equipment for me since I didnt pass the fitting test which anyway is for Tb I know but still I needed to be protected right?this manager only sent ME with them.

They fired RN's for not taking a shot? I wonder what's really in that shot then. I was an RN for over 20 years in the South. Never had to take anything like that except TB test. Some stuff that were available I took by choice, but didn't have too. I take the regular flu shot by choice, but never have wanted or took the H1N1 flu shot. I wonder where that nurse worked? RN

I suppose this is relevant; In Corpus Christ, Texas, DWI/DUI suspects are REQUIRED and FORCED to submit blood samples regardless of our rights to refuse "intoxication" tests, even if they submit to the physical tests.
