It is now 10 years since September 11th, 2001 - the day no one will ever forget. The day were nearly 3000 innocent people were killed in the worst terrorist acts in history.
On the morning of Tuesday, September 11th, 2001, four planes were hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorist. Two of them, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City, at 8:46 and 9:03 am. The third plane, American Airlines Flight 77, crashed into the Pentaton in Arlington, Virginia at 9:37 am and the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed in an empty field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03. Flight 93 never reached its target (most likely the US Capitol Building in Washington D.C.) thanks to the heroic passangers and crew who fought back against the hijackers and tried to take controll over the plane, preventing another dissaster. The South Tower of the WTC collapsed at 9:59 am and the North Tower at 10:28, after burning for 102 minutes.
The collapse of the towers left a big, empty holw in lower Manhattan, where the World Trade Center Memorial today is.
God Bless the United Sates of America.

watched Mr. Jackson sing this song last night at the washington national cathedral. shocked that he did not get a standing ovation. tells me that the people in washington still don't get it......they are there for themselves, not you and me.
