I do think that he is great, but there are some contemporaneous violinists that are also amasing.
You could try Itzhak Perlman or Nigel Kennedy. ^.^

I am left speechless. This is such an amazing work. Maxim Vengerov is the best violinist of the century and his playing is addictive. I have to see him perform before I die.
