added a set of joints to a theo jansen mechanism. made and rendered in solidworks 2008. eventually, i'll incorporate a 45degree bevel gear or similar and add details like the head, tail, etc. add this to something like a 23 scraps of paper sculpture with music box. i should be able to drive it all with a single motor. the gait of the mechanism is determined by the degree of rotational offset between the 2 main wheels. the original walking version of jansen's mechanism has these two wheels diametrically opposed, where this "running" version has them offset by about 30 degrees.

  • Thanks! that makes it a bit easier for what i want to do. I have access to a 2D laser cutting table at work and was looking to make myself an alluminum pony.
