  • This is not natural for any horse. They may have natural high steps they are not this high. People do swore them to get them this high. The Hackney horse does have naturally high stepping gaits but this is not their natural height of step. These horses may or may not have been swored. They have different techniques in training a horse to step high. Some people chose the quick and cruel way but others may chose the slow and natural way. We do not know for sure what technique these people used.

  • @AlyJo23 Well, let us see. i got the info from books, people, internets. So, yeah. For some, it's NOT natural.

  • @xHorseJumper97x pffft... where'd you get THAT information? Like Sky said.. it's natural for them.

  • @xHorseJumper97x No they don't.....at least not in America. It's their natural gait...

  • I feel so bad for these horses. They sword them, meaning they put acid that burns on their legs, to make them pick up their feet. -_- Awful people.

  • @jmorrowbel High stepping is used by males to impress females during courting, these natural behaviours are used and merely exaggerated, this is normal for a horse.

  • looks very classy!

  • @jmorrowbel breeding mostly and a bit of training to perfect it. No cruelty.

  • yyyeeeeeaaaa, thats awesome : D

  • ..... weights on the ankles

  • Gen Robert E Lee had a horse who did that naturally, and it was the horse's preference. The Horse's name was Traveller and they called it his 'buck-trot'.

  • @superdupersonic

No, it's not true. I'm sure there was some Arab used in the breed's development, and probably some Friesian too, but a cross between them now wouldn't make a hackney.

  • how do they get the horses to move that way? is there any cruelty involved?

  • OMG!! o.o

  • Holy moly that horse is gorgeous. So is it true if you cross a Friesian with an Arabian you get a Hackney?

  • wtf xD that was high

  • High stepping at it's best! :)

  • wow !! Spectacular horses !!!
