Queen Ifrica - Daddy

Queen Ifricas debut album Fyah mumma is a reservoir for a body of musical works that span over a decade in the reggae industry.

Soundscaped on a riddim driven background, the album hints a sense of familiarity, but still exudes an aura of freshness that is equally welcomed.

Her lyrical diversity and musical range exhibited on this album proves that the queen of roots dancehall has the need for a little lovers rock when the urge arises.

A Freedom Fighter, Prophetess and grounded romantic, Queen Ifrica moves through all three personas with such fluidity, you fall in love with all three throughout the course of this 21 track album.

It kicks off with the title track before moving on to the raspy sweet Mr Bogangles followed by the warm and cozy Beautiful day. The prophetic Born Free rolls into the hard hitting chart topper, Randy.

The album sparkles brightly throughout, with resonating singles such as Black People and Genocide which are classically delivered and speak clear and true. On When Love Queen Ifrica cooks up a witty rendition that carries a punchline from the Hit R&B single, and is tastefully blended into her Dancehall drenched soundscape.
