HILO SUPERMARKET :: " Golo does the limbo " - Animated TV Commercial Spot

Here's an animated TVC that I created for Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi for their client Hilo Supermarket. It features their mascot "Golo" doing the limbo to represent lower prices, and it's a 20 second spot that was featured on local Trinidad and Tobago television in March 2010. The challenge here was to resurrect their mascot from print, to a live animated character for the first time ever. a bit too much yellow tho... i think u need to add more of hilo's colours to the characters .. ie mainly more red.. too much yellow.oh and have them limboin near the cash register on the conveyer belt or something focusing too much on yellow dollar signs limboin looks good tho nice work

@rouge002 Thanks rouge002. This was created entirely under direction....followed specific storyboards of the client...so I had to do the do..:). But I do value your opinion...well said! De limbo..yea man...with lots of reference, you can animate anything. Thanks again.

@trinitoons I totally agree with rouge002, spoken like a true designer. It's a shame the client made you do all that damn yellow. Sometimes the client doesn't know better but think they do. Not even Lal the doubles vendor would've put all that yellow in there. Ughhh.

Man I still member the Hi-Lo jingles at the end of their live action adverts 15 or so years ago. Good animation man. Clients are sometimes very annoying, I have to design an album without promoting the artist LOL.
