Shabir Ally: Shabir Ally has earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature, and an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Quranic Exegesis.

He is now in his fourth year of Ph.D studies in Quranic Exegesis at the University of Toronto.

He is the president of the Islamic Information & Dawah Centre International in Toronto where he functions as Imam.

He travels internationally to represent Islam in public lectures and interfaith dialogues.

He explains Islam on a weekly television program called "Let the Quran Speak.

He's the author of the book " Is Jesus God? The Bible Says No ! "

1 - 'evil is the absence of good' is a false dichotomy. The middle ground, indifference, is neither good nor evil.

2 - to claim that 'good only comes from Allah', is patently absurd. Islam does not have a monopoly on good.

3 - 'necessary evil' is just lying to justify evil. Arguing that an all-powerful, good God would have to resort to evil in the pursuit of good, is a prime example.

i gotta say sth here.Shabir is talkin in a way the muslims understand.i mean,he talks takin in consideration that the audiance r muslims nd already kinda understand what he's talkin about and what perceptions they already know,so this talk is not quite detailed.so it seems kinda unrational 2 some pple(who'r not muslims or muslims who don't FULLY know or understand these perceptions)

i think Chapter 18 :65-82 is just a lesson on how we see things to be bad while it is actually good but ppl donot have patience
