I was working in Blue River, BC, one summer and they had a small fire-fighting strip north of town. I'll never forget watching on of these birds rev up at the far end of the short runway, bucking at the brakes, its props becoming glassy discs - and then with a roar that hit you in the sternum, shooting past me, across the river, and off into the mountainsides for a mud drop. Just amazing! A great demo of the diffierence between something built for war and your average commuter plane!

I agree it's an A, but if memory serves, I think they were renamed B and then back to A at one point.
