VEDA - Day Four - Photobooth Regrets

A video about misusing and abusing the application on Mac computers, Photobooth.

I'm use to people on YouTube taking narcissism really seriously and I agree, it's not a good thing. However, when faced with new technology at a young age, an age when you are discovering and learning about yourself, it is very easy to embrace these new tools and yes, sometimes abuse them. If I hadn't heard about YouTube when I was 17, I'm not sure I would have made videos. If I hadn't been introduced to Photobooth when I was 18, I'm not sure I would have taken so many terrible photos. It's a learning process, and I look back on it kindly. Yes, I degrade myself, but I also understand that I was just being silly or having fun or indulging and at that age, it is okay, in moderation, of course. That's all I preach, if I do look like I'm preaching here: moderation.
However, there are some clever and creative people who have taken the act of taking a self-portrait and are using it as a way to reach out to people, to communicate and to have fun, and I think that anything that takes something possibly self-indulgent and makes it a way to reach out to others, is good for our Internet lives.
