British forces in Afghanistan have helped to set up a school near Patrol Base One - an area that was under constant attack and littered with IEDs a year ago. It's run by the Military Stabilisation Support Team, with two interpreters leading the lessons. They are taught Pashtu and Dari, Maths, English, Science, Art and Islamic studies. The school still needs to be given government approval -- then it can apply for funding -- in the meantime the Military Stabilisation Support Team are looking to build a more permanent building for winter.
