I used to do that whole rock thing, once. Pardon the shitty quality of the drums, the kit I used was an electric set sold at Target for about $200.

Yeah, we found your daughter sleeping in the street.
The rain must have caught her and swept her of her feet.
Wait, you walked away from me.
Wait, you walked away from me.
Wait, you walked away from me.

I'd gladly eat the green earth
or sample pre-cut lines,
or down a hundred downers just to get you in my mind.
I've put you on my bedpost one too many times,
waking up in midnight sweat thinking about your eyes.

I'd gladly eat the green earth or sample pre-cut lines,
or down a hundred downers just to get you in my mind.
I'm thinking of October, I'm thinking of cement;
These things I can't quite stomach, well they're swimming in my head.
So tell me that I knew you and tell me that you're fine.
I don't need blazing chariots I just wanna see your eyes.

Your voice falls on stone-deaf ears.
You ghostly thing I can't cross lines.
I'll drink to your health someday
and when mine declines I'll join your grave.

You don't need anyone to stay,
but I'll try and cross this line anyway.
[I wanna tell you *** about my sleepless nights
hyped up on caffeine afraid I'd miss out on my life.
I never got to tell you what you really meant to me.
Whenever I was with you, you brought out the best in me.
I hate the distance kept me from piano key like teeth,
and kept me from your laughter and its cadence quality.]

You lay still in dirt too soon,
in dirt too deep I can't dig up.
I don't think, I believe in ghosts,
but I can't give up when I need you most.

You don't need anyone to stay,
but I'll try and cross this line anyway.
[I always wonder *** what life would have been like
without a fragile body, cement mixers, and your bike.
And sometimes I get lonely, and sometimes I'm afraid
that when I finally see you I won't recognize your face.]
