  • i can blow all day long non customized harmonica MarineBand in D with straw, and nothing happens. same blow note.

  • lol a custom Joe Filisko straw. I know Joe, hes a friend of a friend.

  • Hey guys, open up a harp, put some tape on the blow reeds to block the sound, put back the cover plates then take a straw, point it down on the draw reed and blow, you get an overblow like in this video.

  • So, no answer!? What a tease!

  • Good idea, I'll put on the list!

    Ben

  • Then try it! I'm just blowing 'normally' and if you blow softly or take the straw a little way from the harmonica you will get an ordinary note. Did I tell you Joe Filisko designed the straw for me? Just kidding.

    Ben

Did you check out the 'hands-free' vid yet? I DID get that from Joe Filisko.

  • I haven't tried it, but are you certain you're not tuning your mouth cavity like you ordinarily would do to make a an overblow? Are you certain you CAN'T produce the ordinary note through a straw even if you wanted to?

  • I'd love an explanation from you on how to overblow. You'r teaching style is chill.
