The saddest thing here are the chinese defending their government and ignoring the injustices of their countrymen, saying that the western media is evil and that democrazy would never work in China. I know that you probably are raised in these lies but I hope that you one day will penetrate the propagande of your so called "Communist Government" and rise so you together can creat a democratic, humane and just China.

do those people "own" their homes as per housing privatization in the 90's or are they still "rent" on discounted gov't/SOE housing? If they are just tennants, they would be evicted with month notice even in the US.
*Before the 90's most ppl in China live in Gov't/SoE housing with nominal rent of less than $5 a month, in the late 90's, housing was privatized by offering them option to purchase at 1/20th-1/10 the commercial price. Most ppl went for it, some didn't.
