@csmpeoil casuals? come the fuck on! those guys get paid like 9.00 per hour... who would want to hump mail 6 days a week for 9.00 an hour? you are wrong.. they need to cut mangement salaries and positions.... casuals... gimme a break! not to mention casuals have no benefits AT ALL so is they were to get hurt their asses would be kicked to the curb... I'll bet my last dollar that you couldn't OR wouldn't do it!

@6116cs Its 2.3 to 3 craft. Include all the "support help" at I.T. etc...

Real postal management cuts this time, not just get rid of unfilled management jobs.
None the less, all civil service retiring would be a great help also.
All the penion money is there, in fact due to over payments more than all. Congress should aprove all civil service to retire, those with less than 30 yrs at full 30yr 55 pay point.
If they say not now, then they should be in FERS.

in 2009 postmaster potter recieved $200,000.00 bonus in 2010 is recieving 3mil in severance at retirement. Seven craft employees per supervisor.

Hmmm now i know where royal mail get thier ideas from, its pretty much identicle to what they are doing

Pure drama. As long as they employ casuals things aren't that bad.
The postal service's two philosophies are, "If it doesn't make sense, do it," and "If it ain't broke, fix it."

Get rid of the ones who don't deliver Mail in the Rain, Heat, Sleet & Snowand those are the ones who do al the yelling and write up's or give them a choice....take a Pink slip or let them become Letter Carrier's again with a cut in their pay...that would save a lot on money, I feel sorry for the Letter Carries who has lees than 6 years in, they will be the first to go. I got 15 yrs in and 15 left to go, I'm not going nowhere.
