Probably my favorite shai linne song or even christian rap song.

@chestveeg Agreed, but I think it's easy to sleep on the work Evangel does on this track. He does such a great job playing devil's advocate positions.

love this song

@Maxx32765 Yeah actually all those I listed above ARE sinful lol I forgot to add partying. My friend and I were talking and I basically put everything I said plus partying. Yes, all those that I mentioned above ARE indeed sinful. I won't disagree with that, that was a mistake. I meant to list some other things they often sing/rap about that aren't sinful and they do but the other thing besides those being just sinful is that they are worshiping something other than God.

@NoFaceNowThatsAce Those things arent bad? um... you just described sin in just about every form. Lust, covetousness, dunkeness, sorcery (relating to drugs), pride... With out holiness no man shall see the Lord. Have you not read? 1 cor. 6:9, 2 tim. 3:1, Romans 1:29, 1 peter 4:3, ephesians 5:3, 1 tim 1:9, titus 3:3 rev 21:8. If this describes you and this is not an exhausting list.. the bible says the people who practice these things shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

Timothy Brindle is amazing behind the mic.

i asked Mr. Linne if this is a true story, he said-"no but the mindset expressed in verse 1 is based on a real person."

@sgtBoosh I love the fact that he uses his God-given, amazing talent to praise the One who gave it to him too.

Following up my previous comment; this is the video: /watch?v=e6ZC5_Lewro
Shai Linne's heart in this song is pointing us to the sufficiency of Christ in any and every situation/trial. Don't let the world water it down for you into having "some Christian rap" & "some secular rap". Our God is jealous for His glory. Can't tell you how much of wht to listen to - not my role. Just wanna encourage goin hard for the Lord - the world's sermon is trash. ALL of it! (Php 3:7-8) =]

@FroMaestro So in conclusion, I still listen to secular music but not as much as I did before. I made sure to only put Christian music on my phone and to listen to more Christian music than secular as much as possible when at home or wherever I am.

@FroMaestro I've found that listening to secular music along with Christian music can open the door for some people. I have friends that listen to lots of secular stuff and they'll ask me for a mix tape and on the mix tape I'll insert Christian hip hop songs like this to get them hooked onto something new. If I didn't listen to the secular stuff, they might not think so highly of my musical opinion. But that's all up between you and God.
