  • Should we have avoided killing 150,000+ Iraqis in the name of fighting terrorism? The bottom line is war is never a just cause. Oil is not a just cause, neither is 9/11, neither is nation building, neither is 'homeland' security. I'm fed up with it all.

  • RIP you badass.

  • @jakiner its well over a million now, that 150,000+ number is really old

  • ZIONIST "JEWS" ARE THE "NEW WORLD ORDER"

    GOOGLE; "SATANIC TALMUD"

  • You're a complete idiot, the Windsors are nothing more than ceremonial figures in Canada. Crown-Corporations are either private or public institutions, and the re-re-named "Royal" Armed Forces do not actually take orders from the Queen, or Governor-General.

Yes, Canada is still technically part of the British Commonwealth, but British politics haven't held any remarkably significant influence on politics here since the rise of nationalism in Canada in 50's and 60's.

  • @ThePartioticAtheist I completely disagree. I'm familiar with the concept of blowback, but I would never think the 9/11 attacks were justified. We had great relations with Saddam, Bin Laden family and many more American threats, but did these political ties turn sour? Is Israels occupation of Palestine or American intervention in Saudia a reasonable excuse for killing 9000 (Twin tower attacks) and thousands in the "counter terrorism" wars? I don't think so.

  • @jakiner I respectfully disagree. I am very critical of war, but to rule out war entirely is entirely ideological. Howard Zinn like many critical theorists would not rule out the possibility of war. Circumstances and interests vary (intrest groups from ordinary people to corporate/elite interests). We're tribal wars in response to genocide wrong? Maybe, but let's keep our minds open to all alternatives.

  • @ThePatrioticAtheist that is the damn truth man, im also atheist myself

  • Its really a shame... I drive thru the South sometimes and see the Confederate flags flying... the descendants of the dumb Southern whites that fought to help their oppressors keep the source of their wealth and power are still are doing the same thing today... being manipulated by the elite into voting against their own economic interests with the same divide and conquer strategies and playing to "identity" politics...

  • Howard Zinn at his best. Awesome talk.
