Rifle Disassembly. All that is needed in this step is a flat head screw driver and possibly a padded hammer if you can't get the butt stock off.

Most of my information comes from the following sites:
http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/
http://home.comcast.net/~navy87guy/home/saigaconversion.html
http://forum.saiga-12.com/

Please Note: This is my first at a conversion. I am sure I am getting some of the terminology incorrect and I know for a fact there are better and more efficient ways at doing some of the tasks. I would encourage people to visit the forums at http://forum.saiga-12.com before attempting the conversion based solely on these videos.

**
Everything in this conversion is 100% legal. This is NOT going to make the rifle fully automatic. After the conversion is complete it will be 922R compliant.

  • To use regular AK mags you need to dremel the mag release a little bit. I prefer the regular AK mags because they are a lot less expensive.

  • so.. can you do the conversion with the stock trigger parts? or do you have to buy a new FCG?

  • @ballensince88 You have to get a new FCG.

  • i have no idea why i'm watching this video i'm just high as fuck lol

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • @aroccop You will need to drill the holes into the stock but not the same process since the pistol grip is apart of the stock

  • @damoleman69 No its not legal to add a 30 rd mag for it. Now you can still buy the 30 rd mag just don't put it in the gun

  • If i have a stock saiga 7.6X39, Do I have to make it 922R compliant with 9 U.S. Parts immediately, or can I just change one part out as long as its A U.S. part. Like if I took a saiga, fresh out of the crate, and put a 30 Rd tapco magazine into it, Is it legal?

  • hey man just bought this rifle.. wanna put the tapco t6 stock and pistol grip on it.. will i still have to remove the trigger stuff and do all that drilling?

  • Very cool but total pain in the ass. I'm going to just buy a Saiga 308 and put the SVD stock on it, muzzle brake, scope and call it a day.

  • @Lvl22nerd

I feel his pain. I'm a stay at home dad right now so I have that playlist 24/7.

  • really, really appreciate this video series dude, but, and i hate to say this, please keep the child in the other room...not because i fear for its safety; im sure u are quite safe with firearms...its just annoying...sry :)

  • I have an EAA ak and the receiver only takes single stack mags I took it to the gun smith and he said he could widen the receiver for $100 to make it able to fit double stack mags which is what i want. How easy is the procedure and would I be able to do it myself? Dremel tool or file by hand? Thank you for your help
