Brantley Carroll grew up in Marcellus, NY knowing that his ancestor, Charles Carroll of Carrollton, was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and he owned over one thousand slaves. Carroll talks about this in the video and about how his photography series, The Whipping Post, examines the slave industry in the United States. • Dear Mr. Guilt-ridden liberal...

You did not live in that time period.. He did not feel bad because it was exceptable and there were slaves all over the world. Most of the slaves who eventually arrived in America were slaves prior in Africa. So sleep well friend you live in a better time.

  • @nate1756 What country are YOU from and what disease did the American government supposedly create?

  • not tryin to be funny but what nation or country didnt white people try to take over. Most of what ur goverment tells u are lies and people run with it. our goverment slaved, invaded other nations, created disceases, and manipulate it's citizens. and then tell u that our troops fight for us. our troops are pirates and terrorist for us to have things. whats the difference between the goverment doing it and what we would call a terrorist doing it. and most americans agree with this way of living

  • some white people dont understand that things are passed down from generation to generation. whites had everything so when it comes time to pass something, what can a slave pass down to his son other than guidance and advise. thats why whites are still doing better than most blacks because what was passed on. and for blacks, what was passed down from their ancestors

  • @Sk8terGurl20095 i bet ur daddy was racist. we only know what we are taught until we can problem solve for ourselves.did ur daddy teach u respect for others or did he point out negativity in the world and left u to figure out why and this is what u come up with on ur own. america was for white people and by white people only because the white way of living was dying just like america today. If a business does bad who is at fault, the manager or the employees. dont start one if u cant run it

  • The only thing we can learn from this man's video is that cruelty is wrong. The blacks who were slaves in America or those who had to serve, suffer and die in Germany during WWII or anyone whose freedom was taken from them and had to serve in bondage are the ones who had to actually, feel the pain of slavery. This man is an artist...artists do art and that's all this is. "Antebellum Prayer", a song on a cd called, 'Tis Of Thee speaks well to this issue in words and music...art, again.

  • A cheesy view of history...

What's worse than guilt-ridden liberals bemoaning sins of the past?

Guilt-ridden liberals with too much time on their hands...

How about working on something relevant to modern times?

  • Just like Thomas Jefferson talked to sally hemmngs about shit that had no meaning to her but he thought he was enlightening her - this clown talks to his models and you can sww them bored out of their friggin mind about being exposed to an old white man's devils and guilt

  • We have not made much progress. We now have dictatorial governments in Southeast Asia and elsewhere keep our slaves to provide labor to corporations.
