James Henry & Olympics 1999 Seaside reunion hotel jam

Here's a very rare video performance of James Henry & the Olympics, doing an impromptu afternoon hotel jam before their reunion performance that night at the Seaside Elks Club on August 21, 1999. This particular show was a celebration of the long-gone Pypo Club in Seaside, Oregon, as well as the owner of this club, Oney Camberg and Northwest promoter Pat Mason, who both celebrated their 90th birthday that year.

This reunited band, with the alternative title of the "Hardly Everly Brothers" was led by James Manolides, who was also a member of the Frantics and the Dave Lewis Combo.

This footage was shot for the upcoming MEANING OF LOUIE documentary, which will share the exciting story of the world's most misunderstood rock and roll song. On the same night, there was also a reunion of Jack Ely & the Courtmen, which was the group vocalist Jack Ely created after his departure from the Kingsmen.
