a real newport commercial is a black dude arguing with his white co worker about why newports are better then his white friend say only blacks smoke that shit. then it gets awkward for a min then the white guy ask hey can i see your lighter,

I am from the south and all of our young people both white and black smoke Newports. I can't smoke because I have asthma but my niece smokes, my sister, my brother in law, If I could smoke I would probably smoke Newports. I cannot remember cigarette commercials.

It's really surprising to me that you've never seen white people smoke Newport in real life. I'm 47, and I can remember even back in the 70s and 80s that Newport was the most popular cigarette smoked amongst my older cousins... by a wide margin. I've smoked on an off my whole adult life, and yes, Newport has been my regular cigarette too. Perhaps... I grew up in the Northeast, maybe down South these things were, are... different? BTW, this is a great Newport commercial!
