i only have about 2 years of expiriance driving. i am going to find a team to work and figue out. do small stuff u know. i have sold bell and am looking at a couple of draft ponys. what do u think about learning on smaller horses. i have drove belgian teams, clydes and of course percherons. i don't have a big enough trailer to haul big horses and all the other expenses for big horses. i have learned that everything is like double the expense.

The smaller horses just don't cut it! you need the large draft to get the draft horse attitude & mentality!! I train 20,30 every year and trained more than my share of Fjords and Haflingers, they don't have nowhere near the temperament of the real draft breeds and most eat allmost as much!

Fjords are not draft horses!! they are ponies and thats all, dont matter how much you push them to do some work there still just ponies

very cool. i have a problem with explaining wear the harness should lay. and i see so many people with the breeching way to low.i do a basic training course in how to harness and basic single driving. people love it and i think i'm helping in to make there expieriance with there drafts a good one.

Try it on your self, have someone put a rope around your back side and them move it up and down while they pull on it and you'll see there is a sweet spot that will hold the pull with out effort
