Made in Nepal, Youth Solidarity Festival 2010 is a fund-raising mega-event organized as a complete package of youth oriented programs concerning entertainment, researches, cultural promotion and aims to promote interaction between students from various colleges of Nepal and also between youth from various walks of life. As such, the event will be beneficial for students/youth in multiple ways. Firstly, it will kick start the process of dialogue and interaction among youth which, we believe, lack in our social system. In doing so, youth having their potentiality will find platform for demonstrating their talent. Secondly, it will pull students out of academic books and lead to a platform where they can express themselves through their words, music, dance and talents. Furthermore the festival aims to promote the Nepali Brands and International Brand that are manufacturing their product in Nepal as well.
The event will be conducted on the 24th, 25th and 26th September 2010. The three day festival will be inaugurated on 24th September 2010 by Honorary President of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at 9:00 AM. The festival is divided into Youth Conference, KUPEX (Science and Engineering Project Exhibition), Musical Band Concert, Inter College Musical Band Competition, Inter-College Eco-friendly Cycling Competition, Photo Competition, Art Mela, Nepali Folk Dance Competition and Short Movie Show.
Fund raised from the event will be utilized in establishing a scholarship fund in Kathmandu University for deserving student.
