No person or group is any better than other person or group, no matter what people believe. It is immature to think your group is better than anothers all because you belive in something different.

He says we are free to mock what we want to mock...O.K.: What do you call a dead athiest at a funeral home visitation? Answer: A man all dressed up with no place to go. Ha! Ha!

Amazing, the pro-religious bias in our so-called liberal media.

@Atheistfor35yrs Well it is good that you help ppl, and I Hope that you continue to do it. Helpling other ppl is what we are suppossed to do. Unfortunately, not all ppl do.
Honestly, I give cash.Jesus sees what I give, and He blesses me for it.My church does not pass around a plate, it has a small church shaped piggy bank in the back that you can put money into if you want to.They do not believe in putting ppl on the spot to give by passing a plate. We are to give because we want to, not have to

@Ronniecob40 Regarding Kiva, I give funds to people that need them, I make no money on loaning the money to them but I do help them get what they need (and are lacking the funds to do). When I get my loan back, I turn around and loan it to another needy person to help them and again, when or if they pay back the loan the cycle continues on.
So you don't write off ANY on that money to the church at tax time? LOL sure.....I believe you totally. And please don't insult me with your blessings!

@Atheistfor35yrs I Am not sure what group it is you are talking about. Kiva is a loan site right? Where you lend money to someone, but you do eventually get your money back.
I Am not sure what you are talking about as far as write offs. When I give money to my church, I give cash and get no receipt to use for tax write offs, as many of my fellow Christians do as well.
Like I said, If atheists and Christians quit fighting, and banded together, we could make a difference
God Bless You

@Ronniecob40 Go visit Kiva.org.......guess who's the number one group there that's helping people all around the world.....Atheist. But I doubt you really looked very deep in your search or you'd find that Atheist give a lot.....many of them with no tax write off....which is another point, how many church going people would give if they couldn't write it off on taxes as a donation? It would be rather interesting to see that.

You are ABSOLUTELY right. Us getting together with Christians is really a wonderful thing when we can work together. Our aim isn't to even convert anyone; you've got no competition from us. :) And more than that, I've seen instances where a church thought one of our billboards was mocking theirs (understandable concern; they looked the same and were right next to each other, but we had no idea) and instead of getting angry about it, the church and UnitedCoR did a charity together.

i would love to go one of these meetings, they look fun!

"Aggressive"? Seems to me it's more like a group of atheists with a good sense of humor.
Why don't they do stories on how we are harassed, forced to live "in th closet" or lose our jobs, our apartments, our friends etc? Why wasn't it a big story when Bush SR said we shouldn't be considered citizens?
BUT WE ARE THE OFFENSIVE ONES!

LOL some atheist humor, it's funny how xtians can't take a joke or two, they really need to start seeing their beliefs like someting completly different from dogma.
