ANCHOR BRIEF:

The Epoch Times newspaper has come up with some clues that may help solve the mystery of all those empty seats at the Beijing Olympics.

While out-of-country visitors wander around Bejiing looking for tickets to the Olympic events, spectators inside can choose to sit just about anywhere in the largely empty stadiums.

Why so? Some Chinese bloggers and a volunteer ticket seller say the Chinese communist regime is worried sick over the prospect of tickets falling into the hands of "troublemakers" and "whistle blowers," who would create embarrassing scenes for all the world to see.

One volunteer ticket seller says no box office tickets will be available for the all-important final events.
This means that the men's basketball finals, for example, will be attended mostly by heads of state, with few other spectators.

Event organizers have come under fire for giving too many tickets to sponsors and reporters.
Now, groups of apparently-organized Chinese cheering teams have begun to appear in some of the stands.

  • This channel is created to attack on Chinese. Every news is China bashing. How nice!!!! lol

  • Its a shame that this has tainted the Olympics but its very clear, you could see the people outside standing behind the fences wanting to be there. With the volume of press and camera's around you cant control that. Its sad that they still cant be open. But then for such a wonderful opening, it might be remembered for the underage sportsment the mimic girl singer in the opening act. The fences around the venues to keep people out. Not the memory you want to be left with. Its all very sad.

  • its all a big fat lie. I think anyone of those slave labor migrant workers would have enjoyed a ticket to a game. the government is filled with liars. this proves that the is just alot of hype. china will never take its place until it is free.that's why everything is designed by foreigners. who wants to be rich in a dictatorship. wait until those that have made it come to understand this. love china and its people hate the dictatorship of thugs!
