James Bond Director Lewis Gilbert Interview

James Bond director Lewis Gilbert has had an incredible 60 year careeer in cinema. He directed You Only Live Twice, Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me; working with both Sean Connery and Roger Moore. He's also made Bafta winning Oscar nominated films such as Alfie, Shirley Valentine and Educating Rita.

We talked to him at the launch of his autobiography All My Flashbacks at Forbidden Planet. He tells us about Michael Caine, his views on Daniel Craig and who is the definitive James Bond.

@RoloTomasse I always liked the opening to Goldfinger best but I'd put The Spy Who Loved Me a close second for sure. Nobody Does It Better is definitely a classic tune and love the union jack parachute gag!
