Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/devincurry.

We can all breathe a little easier this week, Spidey is back and the writers were able to maintain the quality that was brought in the New Ways to Die Arch. Since his introduction I’ve had my eye on Mr Negative as I felt he had a lot of potential to be a solid villain for our favorite wall crawler and there was enough mystery around him to keep it interesting. Oh, and the Hammer, formerly known as Hammer Head, wow. Look at that DC Marvel can resurrect some D listers and make them badass too. They’ve really done amazing work with this character and hooray Spiderman has someone respectable to fight. One thing I’ve really got to hand to these writers is how they are able to bring the humor into this book without cheapening the action and drama of it. Spiderman himself has always been funny but the tone of the book had gotten a bit darker. These books read funny and the same drama is presented in a much lighter fashion. It is becoming a top shelf book again in terms of quality and that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Two archs in a row it looks like it’s time to come back to Friendly Neighborhood Wall Crawler. Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • So the Hammer aka Hammerhead is now a thug of Mr.Negative?

  • after OMD/BND Spider-man has sucked and will probably continue to suck. Unless marvel fixes some of the mistakes they have made I will not bother purchasing another Spider-man

  • is that Brand New Day over?

  • *Spider-Man

  • Joe Kelly is amazing! Everyone should be reading I Kill Giants!

  • Spiderman represents the biggest slap to loyal comic fans ever. It says that following growth of the character and continuity is equal to ARCHIE comics. nothing matters.
