Try learning Finnish or Italian INSTEAD of the current English and you will love FINNISH or ITALIAN. Reform the English spelling system which is flawed.

Thats because latin and greek has the same ancestry in language. and latin was influenced somewhat by greek, but it is not descended from greek.

Sure the alphabet is an adapted greek but not the language.

Alphabet does not make the language, it is merely symbols for sounds.

Persian uses arabic letters but is not from arabic.

If you're gonna argue that all languages come from greek( not the case) we might aswell say that it comes from the language that preceeded greek, or that one before..

They share most of their letters and also a lot of words. Plus that most modern languages use the Latin alphabet (consider that the word "alphabet" is Greek).

So practically, since the alphabet is the root of every language, the Latin alphabet is the root of most modern language. And the root of the Latin alphabet is the Greek alphabet, so that makes the Greek alphabet the root of most modern languages.
