I couldn't agree more. English should replace its current spelling system for a fresh, pronunciation-based system. When the Japanese and Chinese had complicated languages, they created new forms of their old systems. Each letter of the alphabet should represent 1 sound and 1 sound only, and not have 1 letter represent 152715287157815728512.256 different sounds.
