**( HAD A VERY HARD TIME SEARCHING FOR HQ VIDEO OF THIS EPISODE PLZ RATE,COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE )** Fan blade failure, lack of cockpit simulation emergency training, pilot error, shutting down the wrong engine
Since the pilots misdiagnosed the problem and they knew they were going down, they could have at least dump fuel to take off some of the weight, all pilots know to dump fuel in an emergency landing.
@danooontjuuh That's good to know. I also spoke with a flight attendant friend of mine who assures me that nowadays there's a lot more communication (both happening and encouraged) between cabin crew and cockpit
@gmarthansen I notice that in many of these documentaries when it's an engine fire - not even the cabin crew, let alone a passenger, dares tell the captain which engine is on fire! They just wholeheartedly trust the captain and the cockpit technology to know this information.
in my opinion it should be mandatory that in case of engine error the 2nd officer would have to take this 1min and go in the passenger cabin to confirm which one it is
so it's possible to fly a high-tech plane with 50 hours in the plane and 1 day of actual training.. mmm
