  • Another good source is Mormon author Richard Van Wagoner. Thinking Mormons acknowledge Compton and Van Wagoner as authors who accurately document their work and use sources such as FamilySearch.

  • About Smith's money digging/glass looking....from "Elders' Journal of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (July 1838), p 42–43

"Smith stated that he was what he called a "money digger," but saying that it "was never a very profitable job to him, as he only got 14 dollars a month for it".

So much for your lies about hearsay; straight from the man himself. His magic rock is still in possession of the 1st Presidency. Do they stick it in a hat like Smith did. rofl

  • Todd Compton is a Mormon author and documents his findings in his book "In Sacred Loneliness"

Tell us how a man of God marries his friends and fellow church members wives while they are still married to their husbands? What does that say about character?

It's especially telling when he sent Hyde on a mission and married his wife while he was gone.....VERY telling.

  • No facts? Read it and weep...lol

"...Many were prominent church leaders and close friends of Smith. George W. Harris was a high councilor…a position equivalent to that of a twentieth-century general authority. Henry Jacobs was a devoted friend of Joseph and a faithful missionary. Orson Hyde was an apostle on his mission to Palestine when Smith married his wife. Jonathan Holmes was one of Smith's bodyguards and served as a pallbearer after Smith's death..."

  • @Jack44M There are no facts supporting your accusations and you have never listed any of those except for heresay, second and third hand accounts.

A far as a cult it appears you except written violence. Your Rehtoric only infames since you never provide any facts you only accuse.

Even your stage name here is used to mock!

  • @scottwins2

Fact....Smith took money for glass looking

    Fact....Smith seduced young girls

Fact....Smith married 10 of his friends' wives

You can continue to lie in support of your cult's founder, but that doesn't change the FACTS that have been well documented by Mormon authors

Also, I never gave the mob a pass or even mentioned Boggs so it's nothing more than a pathetic attempt to divert from what I did post. For the record, violence against the Mormons was wrong...period.

    Cont.

  • @Jack44M Blah Blah Blah you have no idea what you are talking about as usual and always you never give a fact you just accuse in hate. Mormons frustrate you so. My communication is over with you, who always give the mob a pass and never mention Governor Boggs and his ilk and murdering friends.

  • @scottwins2

You act like he's some kind of innocent victim. Smith was a crook who took money for glass looking, seduced young girls, and married 10 of his friends' wives while they were still married to their husbands. All the while lying about it and whining he was being persecuted. The guy was scum.......

  • @scottwins2

....lol; another excuse for Smith's behavior. Of course you don't mention the fact he ran every chance he got. He ran from his creditors, he ran from the authorities, and his illegal transfer of assets to avoid seizure didn't work either.

In his 1826 legal proceedings he took "leg bail" as they called it.

His illegal activities and running from the law AND his wild boasting finally caught up with him. Sooner or later it always does.....

  • @Jack44M Not a liar all and you saying it doesn't make it so. In common law legal systems, conviction of a person in absentia, in a trial in which he/she is not present to answer the charges, is held to be a violation of natural justice. Specifically, it violates the second principle of natural justice, audi alteram partem. Today we call it a Kangaroo Court. 48 cases and Joseph was to be jailed without due process for months and then killed without due process, and you squeal like a stuck pig?
