Matrix is such a true movie. Human's own creation will bring their own end.

@jonanlsh life sciences are those of the slower progress, the science with faster progress rate is electronics, informatic and nanomaterials, then everyone can realize what that means (all incubator disciplines for robotics). I think a quicker solution is "cyboring".
-
@Sismiques yeap, but of anyway we could treat it, this is better that never happen but time is eternal, if singularity doesn't appear over 2080 could begin on 2643 i don't know there is time for everything.

They could have airbursted nukes in the upper athmosphere, the humans, although would lose lots of vulnearble technology, would have wiped out the majority of the machines.
-
@xXxforkboyxXx EMP affects everything the smart machines and the non-inteligent suits they was wearing, apart of the radiation really kill humans in just months, see hiroshima/nagasaki little bombs for the present but a lot of cancer. So a lot of nukes would don't work if robots are deployed in several places. But at the other side viruses affects only to humans. Solution is don't let robots create an economy apart

War against Nation01, first humans begins winning battles, they are more, is the whole world against just one nation, but machines learns quickly, they go underground, extract metals from earth, builds shields, humans throw everything they have but machines resist, probabilities begins to turn in favor of machines, 2105, "dark storm" operation begins, human leaders know what would happens if this fail, but have no option, machines begins to experiments with humans and MATRIX is born.

As robots begins to think like humans begins the problems, there is not necessary programation, machine learn and auto regulates by itself, 2080, are not recognized by UN, humans exile robots, begins to destroy problematic models, some try to go away, robots funds an economy apart, their competitiveness is astounding, begins to come human investment on this corporation-trust, robot-chaebols, human economy get in recession, robots manufactures surpass everything, 2090, UN against machines...

2014 robots learn to make sandwich, 2020 walking robot girl feed the cat of the sensei in some japanese/korean university, in USA exoesqueleton is used like loader in some army especific task. 2025 articulated robot with rough AI are launched at high price in Japan. 2030 around the world. 2040 massive production, realistic humanoids, 2050 workforce is 75 humans, 25% machines, 2060 50/50, 2070 humans corrupted, most economy robots, animosity against machines, robots begins to request rights....

What the humans needed was bioengineering. With that, they could have given themselves biological adaptations and battle the machines.

The two part episode; The Second Rennesance reminds me of Sarah Connor's lines from T2: The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgement Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare; the war against the machines.
