Questi erano i rally, questa era la macchina da rally, una emozione unica con un pilota unico... RIP Henri

Delta s4 italian power!

@jasemat thank you....at last someone else who understands what differant cars are capable of.
i cant understand how people can think a rally car is going to be quick as f1 car
yes s4's were quick but as you say groupA were soon quicker. A modern wrc would utterly destroy gpb cars

@markandrach Never heard of the myth b4 watching this video, but kinda inclined to agree. When you consider it was 1993 i believe that the Group A Celica set a faster time of a tarmac stage than the record that was held by a Group B car and if you search for a video on her titled "colin mcrae v clarkson v f1 car at silverstone" its kinda obvious that a 1999 WRC car would be quicker than those in 1993 there for the myth i reckon is just that.

hahahahahahhahahahaahhahahahah
haha why do people keep talking about this myth
an s4 is no where near as fast as an f1 car
look at it with a bit of sense
f1 will do 200mph..... where do you suppose an s4 will make the differance?corner? i doubt it!!
f1 corners at 5 g
come on wake up its a myth

@burtonium1 "Henri Toivonen in a test at Le Castellet (Circuit of Paul Ricard) with Delta S4 marked a lap time 1.18.00....in that year, with this time, the S4 and Toivonen start 3rd in F1 Gp of Le Castellet." [Official source by Giorgio Pianta, pilot and test driver of the S4 Martini Racing Team.]....then yes the S4 could compete with the F1 in that year.
-
@ayghjib1 but anyway it's hard to believe, because f1 cars of the time had like 1300hp on qualifications :D
-
Toivonen told in an interwiev that s4 goes from 0-100 kmph in 2,9 secs and 200 kph in 9,6 secs. And about s4 beating f1 cars, its maybe possible in a heavy rain.

@DoctorNumber46
That's because they do go faster around corners. Group B era cars didn't have specialized tires for rallying so it's only natural.
Also, Group B was a part of the WRC, so it doesn't make sense to distinguish the new Group A and the old Group B by calling one "WRC". They're both WRC.
