Synopsis!
"The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974) is the ninth spy film in the James Bond series, and the second to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. An adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel of same name, the film has Bond sent after the Solex Agitator a device which can harness the power of the sun. He teams up with agent Mary Goodnight against Francisco Scaramanga The Man with the Golden Gun. The action culminates in a duel between them.

The Man with the Golden Gun was the fourth and final film in the series to be directed by Guy Hamilton. The script was written by Richard Maibaum and Tom Mankiewicz. The film was set in the face of the 1973 energy crisis, a dominant theme in the script - Britain had still not yet fully overcome the crisis when the film was released on December 14, 1974.

Reviewers praised Christopher Lee's performance as Scaramanga, but criticized the comedic approach.

Scaramanga, a hit man who is known as "the man with the golden gun", because of the golden gun he carries and the gold bullets he uses on his targets. Bond receives a message supposedly from Scaramanga saying that Bond is his next target. So M decides to relieve Bond of his duties till the danger has been neutralized. But Bond feeling that the mission he was on is of the utmost urgency decides to go and find Scaramanga himself. And he thinks he found him but discovers that Scaramanga is not after him when he had a clear shot at him and missed, which he doesn't do. But the man who was killed is the man he was originally looking for. A scientist working on a device that can make harnessing the sun's energy possible. So he must now find the device.

About Song!
"The Man with the Golden Gun" is the soundtrack for the 9th James Bond film of the same name.

The theme tune was performed by Lulu, composed by John Barry, and the lyrics to the song were written by Don Black. Alice Cooper claims his song The Man With The Golden Gun was to be used by the producers of the film until it was dropped for Lulu's song instead. Cooper's song appears on his album Muscle of Love.

.....Lyrics.....

He has a powerful weapon
He charges a million a shot
An assassin that's second to none
The man with the golden gun

Lurking in some darkened doorway
Or crouched on a roof top somewhere
In the next room, of this very one
The man with the golden gun

Love is required whenever he's hired
It comes just before the kill
No one can catch him, no hit man can match him
For his million dollar skill

One golden shot means another poor victim
Has come to a glittering end
For a price, he'll erase anyone
The man with the golden gun

His eye may be on you or me
Who will he bang?
We shall see. Oh yeah!

Love is required whenever he's hired
It comes just before the kill
No one can catch him; no hit man can match him
For his million dollar skill

One golden shot means another poor victim
Has come to a glittering end
If you want to get rid of someone
The man with the golden gun
Will get it done
He'll shoot anyone
With his golden gun .....End

  • this movie is a little stupid but theres undoubtedly worse films in the series but this films got a decent song a great villain, dark music and moments etc.

  • @charlieiscool1000 craig is NOT bond u assfuck. bond is not body builder and bond doesnt look like a sandpaper-face ugly ass like craig. he should play a dick tracy villian with that ugly mug of his. so why dont u stfu

  • @burtonrules123 No Craig is a Real man and is tough enough to be Bond so shut fuck up.

  • she has Amazing Voice

i love the song and the movie :)

  • @tjCooper88 Maybe even worse than Quantum of Solace. At last, listening to the Beatles without earmuffs is like drinking Dom Pérignon '53 at a temperatue above 38 degrees.

  • @rtt470 Yeah, but we didn't take out Hussein and Guddafi with 007-type stealth, detective work, and lethal precision. Instead, we just dropped thousands of pounds of bombs on their heads and annihilated thousands of innocent civilian lives in the process.

... kind of cowardly, don't you think? Plus, we trained Hussein as a CIA agent and later gave him his biochemical technology.

Anyway, I'm not disagreeing with your point.

  • @mrstevehartman ... definitely.

  • @ShaiTan931 ... agreed; I love the brassiness, the seductively jazzy sense of a fetish. Plus, you have that funky, wah-wah guitar that transcends musical genres.
