ABOUT:
Playing Into The Pit by Testament again! Love the song, and wasn't really happy with my previous cover of this song. Redone it, and now using my AMP!

PS: LAMB OF GOD ripped Testament, not the other way 'round ;).

RECORDING:
Video recorded with my Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 (USB Webcam).

Audio recording:
All rhythm parts double tracked (recorded twice). One panned to the left, one to the right. Third track is the solo, which is centered.

AMP:
ENGL Sovereign E368. Combo amp, 2x12 Celestion Vintage 30 Speakers, 100 watt, All-Tube!

Microphone:
Amp single miced with a Shure SM57, off axis (aka. off-center), angled towards the center.

I'm experimenting with different setups. In my next video I will be double micing the amp.

GUITARS used:
- Ibanez RG (blue, with EMG 81 and EMG 89)
- Schecter prototype Avenger FR (with EMG 81 and EMG 85)

More gear info on my channel page!

VIDEO EDITING:
Adobe Premiere PRO CS3

  • Tuning?

  • @NumeroUnoGringo slayer is shitty anyways and the other band, never heard of them.

  • @willabeesgotapollo13 lol. i guess i hate metal then. ill keep listening to shitty rap and country bands like Slayer and Deicide. idiot.

  • @NumeroUnoGringo ur saying testament sucks. u know that right? just by saying that they ripped them off. aand laid to rest is way better than this song even though theyre similar in some parts. and if u hate lamb of god then you hate metal. and seven string tuning on six sting guitars is fucking retard monkey tuning. just get a seven string guitar and dont be lazy to play an extra string.

  • @willabeesgotapollo13 drop D? thats fuckin retard monkey tuning. they suck.

  • @NumeroUnoGringo they may have ripped them off but they DONT suck. log is putting out some good ass shit, and is better than over half the bands out there and they dont use really low tunings to prove that theyre a heavy band. they can do that in drop d which almost all bands cant due.

  • that was fuckin awesome dude, I wish alot of the amp comps would put up sound samples with thrash or death or even black but no :/

  • nice.

now if i just had the money u spent in all that stuff...

  • Dude! Two words--Fucking Amazing!!

  • KareembO Skolnick haha :D
