Bill Moyers interviews former talk show host Phil Donahue and Ellen Spiro on the true cost of war and their documentary, Body of War, depicting the moving story of one veteran dealing with the aftermath of war.

With extensive excerpts from the film, the filmmakers talk about Iraq war veteran Tomas Young, who was shot and paralyzed less than a week into his tour of duty. Three years in the making, Body of War tells the poignant tale of the young man's journey from joining the service after 9/11 to fight in Afghanistan, to living with devastating wounds after being deployed to Iraq instead.

Isn't amazing how mainstream media never shows these things. Everytime you turn to fox all they talk about is the "liberal media". All mainstream media is corporate right wing junk.

True. The CIA funnels money to front organizations like the Macarthur Foundation who fund White House propaganda vehicles like the two part documentary Bush's War which deceptively peddled the official lies spewed by the Cheney/Bush junta. The perpetrators of the 9/11 inside job are portrayed as heroes while the patsies set up to take the fall for the false flag operation are demonized. Americans are duped on a daily basis by corporate media, including PBS.

Although you can find very good shows on PBS, such as Bill Moyers, PBS is not an honest network. If you take a look at the total news coverage on PBS, the voice of a good journalist like Bill Moyers is drowned in a sea of basically pro-corporate propaganda. For example, at the critical stage leading up to war in 2002 and early 2003, PBS also beat the drums for war, even though it was transparently obvious that the case for war was a complete sham.
