MARLOS NOBRE,
Divertimento for Piano & Orch,
Mov. 2 - Moderato
Simon Bolívar Symphony Orchestra
Conductor: José Serebrier
Piano: Marlos Nobre
Teatro Teresa Carreño, Caracas.
The critic of "Discophage" (France) wrote on March 14,2008 about this work: "The Divertimento can be described, at least in its outer movements, a a wild Villa-Lobos or Milhaud (the middle movement is more terse and brooding), Nobre's language is fully contemporary, in the wake of modern compositional techniques.
Marvelous the work and the performance, both the composer-pianist and the Simon Bolivar Symphony. It like hearing Prokofieff, Bartok or Ravel playing live his own Piano Concerts, thanks for the gift!
