Since the return of the Panama Canal to control by its indigenous people, Central America has been more and more in the American consciousness. Long regarded as an undifferentiated group of unimportant countries, we are now aware that it is a vital, changing region with countries that assert their own identities. This film gives a basic overview of the cultural and social geography of this region, identifying the similarities and differences among the seven countries.

A Wayne Mitchell film.

Grade Levels: 9 to 12
