I woke up five later, and we werent moving. I grabbed my Mac as fast as I could and turned it on. Once everything finally loaded I clicked on the internet icon. A few seconds later it was up and running. I went to google and searched yellow pages. Sure enough there was a website called that.

I went to the website. It said to type in their name. I figured I should probably use her dads name first. I typed in Ronald Smith. I took a deep breath before pressing enter. Then my finger shakily pressed the button. What I got was most definitely not the results I wanted.

It said that he had passed away- but what if he got in a car accident? And Kayla was in it? I decided to search her name then. No number was available. I clicked on everything trying to find an address, but nothing came up. Then I saw what broke my heart. Shes living in Australia. I slowly closed my laptop and just stared at the ceiling.

Frankie knocked on the wooden part that held the bunk up. I sighed and opened the curtain. "Yeah Frank?" I asked as I tried to be happy for him. "Mommy said you have to make me cereal." Frankie said as he walked away. I laughed a little before getting up and making his cereal.

"Joe, are you going to play youre song again tonight?" Kevin asked while he was talking to someone on his cell phone. "Yeah." I answered before making my own cereal. Right when I finished making it, I wasnt hungry so I gave it to Kevin. I decided to go and talk to Nick.

"Hey man." I said as I sat down next to him. He nodded at me. About five minutes later we began to play Halo. Nick was winning, but I usually dominated him at this game. "So whats on your mind?" Nick asked while staring at the screen. "I can't get her off my mind." I sighed. Nick killed me again in Halo. "Then think of something else."

"I can't. I need to find her." There was a silence for a few seconds. "What if I put up lost persons signs everywhere?" I asked. "Joe, do you think that is actually going to work?" Nick asked. "No. Plus, I searched her and shes living in Australia." I sighed, looks like I was never going to see her again. "You know, that might not update that site as often as you think." Nick said before leaving me alone in the back of the bus. Maybe they dont update that often...
