  • I have a question about this particular problem. When you cancel out the 3 and the -3 how do you get -1 . I know its must be easy but my mind keeps telling me its 0 since they Cancel out.

  • @SharkAkhrrana You are correct that they cancel out but that doesn't mean they disappear. It really means that they divide into each other. So you really must think about it as -3 divided by 3 which is 1. And 1 times anything is itself so we just take a shortcut and say it cancels out but what's really happening is it becomes 1.
