  • So how does a guy get a start in one of these places? Over in Scotland I would have to knock over a bank to get the training fees for machines like that! Ive done car cleaning (Valeting) and would happily start off with jet washing the machines! Hell, Id go so far as to sweep the cabs out and leave a little pine tree freshner on the rear view mirror! Lol

  • @judderman37 @judderman37 Fill out a job app. If you have the experience to run a machine, write it down. If you have no experience on heavy equipment you can always start from the bottom (driving truck) and work your way up, if they're in need for an operator that is

  • Does the fuel guy have a dinner bell for the machines because that d11r was haulin arse to the fuel truck.

  • Haha, the 11's haulin ass because it's quitting time for the operators! The fuel truck goes to every machine at quitting time to fuel the equipment so they're ready for the next day.

  • How much diesel do those beasts eat per shift??

  • That really all depends on how hard their working. Dozers are relatively good on fuel. The fuel consumption all depends on what task the dozer is doing. A dozer working under a hoe keeping the floor clean will burn less fuel than a dozer working on moving overburden.

  • Wiggins fast fill hey!!

  • That D-10 looks tiny next to the D-11. I've got a LOT of hours on a 10 but have never seen an 11 fully built. Nice catch.

  • @PAmining Short explanation is it's time for a beer! Been in that spot many times.

  • @Markmeblablabla yeah.. most of the companies with wastefull policies are bankrupt...and the one who know how to get it done and compeete with the way things are done in India and China might survive. Beacuse have no doubt. China doesnt care about PPE and Tier 4 emmissions regulations. They care about wiping our ass while we are worried about wether or not a man gets out hile his machine is fueled!
