On May 22, 2011 a highly destructive and deadly tornado tore through the city of Joplin, Missouri. Here is video of the tornado entering the southwest side of town, filmed by TornadoVideos.net Basehunters team Colt Forney, Isaac Pato, Kevin Rolfs, and Scott Peake. The team spent hours assisting with search and rescue and transporting victims to local hospitals in personal vehicles.

  • I have lived in Joplin my whole life and still am I was in range line Walmart when it hit, I hate a huge gash in my arm but I still tried to help people Never will this happen again we all can hope ):

  • @19pkatet no tuscaloosa wasnt the deadliest. infeact tuscaloosa tornado isnt in the top 25 deadliest tornadoes, joplin is 7th all time.

  • @blklightning330 No one knew this was going to hit Joplin as an EF5. I assume you have never been storm chasing, it's pure adrenaline. Plus it's not like they just filmed it and left. They assisted for a long time helping people in the town.

  • Climatologists predicted a while back that extreme weather events will become more severe and more common. The Tuscaloosa tornado was labelled as the most deadly one ever until this monster came along. It got very big very fast!
