No, let me change one thing. Feral animals (who come from irresponsible owners) puppy mills and BYB's are the problem. I agree with that too, but there are lots of unaltered animals out there.

Can you give a source? To my knowledge, which is pretty extensive, none of that is true, so, you know, put up or ...

After the hearing today AB 1634 bill has been pulled.
You can listen to the hearing at celestialpets com.
Good work everyone! Now we have to wait until January.

Yes! We, as Americans have a freedom of choice. That law will take away some of that freedom of choice for pet owners. NO ON AB 1634!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading your posts on every video that wants people to be against this bill I have come to a conclusion. The first part of your nickname is true. I still want to know how you're going to get puppies or kittens from a pair of sterilized creatures. That's how police dogs, therapy dogs, etc. will vanish. No way would I ever let a pup of mine go anywhere near California. Not even for a show.

Advocates say that breeders are exempt. What does this mean. "Free from obligation?" Not! "Pay me and you will be free from obligation."
NO on AB 1634 the "Breeder Extortion Act!"

psychotictelevision,
You are truly and IDIOT. Please keep posting. I need the laugh.
No on AB 1634
I'm trying to learn about this issue. It's very hard. Both sides here don't offer much in the way of evidence. I'd think that if either of you really cared, you'd simply posts the FACTS and let them stand for themselves.
Also, do any of you KNOW the people you are against. I do know some of them and your comments are way off base. You all, both sides should really just talk to each other - unless you already know you are not telling the truth. Then I guess there would be no point.

@jcisbell
We did tell the truth and the bill was voted on. There were 5 votes in favor of the bill out of 40 State Senators.
You can't take the rights away from Americans. We fought HSUS and the animals rights folks to preserve our rights and the constitution of the United States of America..
Thank you very much.

Here is another thought to ponder on. When the Governor of California was asked if his dogs were fixed, his response was "no comment." So whom is this bill really targeting. Wake up America! Legitimate breeders are not the problem and extorting money from them will solve nothing.

Breeders are not the problem with this bill. This bill is based on false information about pet population and passed off as a quick fix to shelter overcrowding. There is no population problem. There are shelter management problems engaged in killing animals.

AB1634 is unconstitutional. It removes Californians' rights to make their own decisions about pet healthcare. It takes property - gonads and ovaries - without compensation. It assumes Californians are STUPID enough to think spaying/castrating all cats and dogs will stop irresponsible owners from dumping unwanted pets. Well? Are we that stupid?
