minejust stares at you then when u go to do it she head butts u... dunno where she learned it but it works for her.. now we just let the vet deal with it

@rainbowgirl678 Well you kind of have to do it ;) Or else the nails become too long, and it becomes painful for the dog to walk einstein. If you know you can't do it, then just take you're pets to a groomers, but you can't just "not do it," as you put it.

Yes, great, you know, nowadays I don't do this anymore cuz as he walks twice or thrice a day, he has his nails polished by pavement! =D
I always try to set them free of annoying things, only those ones which are really needed! =)

We started off cutting my puppies nails with two people - one to do the clipping and the other to hold a treat with peanut butter on it. Total distraction for him. Now as an adult, he's so calm, he just sits in my lap and I clip his nails with no problem. He doesn't even need the peanut butter anymore but I do give him a treat when we're finished.

That's right, he just had its nails cutt off twice or thrice in life - nowadays, he's an adult, so, he walks on the streets and has their nails "polish" by the floor. Now I have another shiba and she never had their nails cutt off. ;-)

it hurts to hear it in pain, i always trim a tiny bit off at a time on my shiba, she moves alot tho, i do it when shes sleeping
