@ExonicPlain you do not need a license for a 1 seater, but you do need a license if it seats two people. I am not sure about insurance but im guessing you probly dont need it for a 1 person powered parachute.

Actually, they cost about 10,000 for a used one and up to 60,000 for a custom top of the line. About the same cost as a car.
