Castlevania: Symphony of the Night #05- Boss- Doppelganger 10, Outer Wall 2, Entering Long Library

Boss fight with Doppelganger 10. He can be hard, until you figure out that he'll respond to your jumping by jumping and attacking. So just turn around and smack him in the face. Alternatively you can cheese him by using the Stopwatch and stabbing him repeatedly.

1:30- It's not possible to get this HP Max up until you get the double jump. Same thing with the item up near the switch.

2:28- Look quickly and you'll see the hanged body, it looks sorta like Simon Belmont.

2:49- Hit the switch three times to activate the elevator. You need to open it up to get the Wolf Form.

3:10- Using the first teleporter. They're quite useful. I warp back to the entrance and grab a HP Max Up, opening a shortcut.

4:00- Grabbing Soul of Wolf, using the elevator.

The rest is just entering the Long Library.

It is possible to get the item next to the switch without the double jump. If you get a Medusa Head at the right spot, you can get knocked up onto the ledge. Happened to me my first time through, completely by accident.

I may have only played the trial version of SotN on XBLA, but I really recommend using the Bible subweapon in that Doppleganger fight. That way, it takes damage when it gets too close to you.

I've gotten that HP Max Up without the Double Jump. And I've also gotten the item near the switch without it, too. Anyways, your playthroughs are frickin' awesome.

yes, I agree... you just have to start walking off the ledge, and time the jump so you jump as you're about to fall... it'll hop you over and you can get the items.

Actually, you don't even need to hit the Elevator Switch. You can just walk into it and it will work.

I just got my copy of the game today. (GLEE!) That's how I found out. Also I've been basically following your videos to a T (except no luck code).
