gaspar sanz (1640-1710) was a guitarist/composer who lived in spain during the baroque period. a pavane is a slow, processional dance that was common during the renaissance and early baroque eras. this is a piece that i've played on and off through the years, and i keep coming back to it because it is such a beautiful composition!

  • @LaGuitarrayYo well, i don't do as many ornaments as i probably should for this period; in fact, i only play one or two i think. i'm going to watch yours to get some ideas for ornamentation! thank you for the kind words, though! perhaps we can learn from each other on here?
