When Police Kill Don't Let Them Investigate Themselves

In June of 2005, an investigative attorney and a retired police officer came to the home of Michael E. Bell to discuss officer statements and autopsy findings regarding the fatal shooting of Bell by Kenosha Police.

On November 9, 2004, four officers were involved in shooting Bell in the head at his home in front of his mother and sister after a traffic stop of unknown reason. Bell was 21. Kenosha Police conducted their investigation and cleared themselves in two days. The Bell family asked District Attorney Robert Jambois for a coroners inquest and was denied. After his review, DA Jambois found the shooting justified.

Presented here are the forensics and other findings uncovered and how they relate to the depositions of the officers involved.

The facts and evidence available on this web site were compiled during the investigation of the Michael Edward Bell shooting and were submitted in U.S. Federal Court. This data challenges the version offered by the Kenosha Police Dept. and is being presented for public assistance to reduce fatal police shootings.

I can't argue with you on either side as I can only see the case from a distance. There is one thing that is true, there are some, not all, but some officers that are bad and need exposed and fired or prosecuted if they have broken the law. There is a case with a friend of mine in St Louis that I can speak of. The deceased was a good guy, was going to school, and was looking forward to his future and the cops set him up.

The state serves the people, the people do not serve the state. Some people seem to believe non compliance is a reason to kill someone. The number of cases I see these days stemming from a $30 dollar traffic ticket stop, or something similar that grows into a lethal shooting is startling.

It's incredible to me how many cops and cop apologists spend so much time trolling these sites. I agree with my father's estimation on the subject - 50% of cops should be outright executed for crimes against humanity, another 40% put in prison...leaving maybe 10% that are actually good people. Pride goeth before fall - yeah, you're right...and a lot of cops should take that under advisement. Otherwise, you're an ass, billtrammel.

The funny part is even in this highly, very edited video, the perp could have been shot prior to his non compliance, and resisting arrest, If he had stepped out of the car on me with his hands in his pockets, AND fidgeting to get in the other he would have already been taking a dirt nap.

It is easy to see where the son got his clueless arrogance, the Kenosha police did not kill any ones son under suspicious circumstances, except in your wishful thinking, you got blood money only because it is cheaper to pay off people like you rather than pay the court fees, end of story, and the perps life, can I get an amen.
